General Assembly

Background Guide

Your Chair

Megan Conley is the Deputy Secretary General of the Miami University Model United Nations, and is chairing for the sixteenth annual MUMUNC’s general assembly. She is a third year student, majoring in linguistics and minoring in Arabic. Megan is from Portsmouth, Ohio and has been participating in Model UN since her first year at Miami.

Megan, apart from being in the Model UN club, also participates in the Red Cross club as the president. Her fun fact is that she recently studied abroad in Costa Rica last summer!

Megan is incredibly excited for MUMUNC XVI, and hopes to see delegates enjoy the content of the weekend. She encourages all delegates to make the most of this experience via engagement in committee, making new friendships, and, above all, having a fun time!

Your Co-Chair

Charlie Cagann is a sophomore Political Science major from Bartlett, Illinois. This is his second year with Miami University’s Model United Nations, and he is excited to be co-chairing the General Assembly. In his free time, Charlie plays tenor saxophone for Miami University’s jazz ensemble and has plans to study abroad in Germany over the summer.
